Personal background…

Born in a small town in Bhalwal, Pakistan, I moved to Dublin, Ireland with my parents and younger sister at the age of 5. I demonstrated leadership traits from a very young age. I took part in many extra-curricular activities throughout school, ranging from Irish dancing to drama classes to being captain of the netball team to being a prefect and helping younger students. I won several medals in art and reading. My first public speech was at the age of 13 to President Mary Robinson at Áras an Uachtaráin in Dublin (I have a photo to prove it!). I was a stellar student throughout school. I continued to university and obtained several qualifications (see below). I love learning new things that inspire me. I come from a long line of leaders from many past generations. My grandmothers are my biggest inspiration in life. Both were natural leaders with very different leadership styles. I guess leadership is in my DNA! I thrive as a leader.

I believe that we need to be completely aligned with who we are in order to be at peace with ourselves. Peace comes when you make peace with your past, present and anticipated future. Many people feel obliged to ‘act’ a certain way in the various roles that they hold in life (job title, parent, sibling, spouse etc.). This can cause an immense amount of pressure and stress which seeps into all aspects of life over time. My purpose in life is to make people’s lives easier by aligning them to their values and purpose. This is why I started my business.

Hobbies, interests & quirks…

I am a big foodie (this is not to be confused with me enjoying cooking). I enjoy most foods but Middle Eastern, Mexican and Spanish cuisines are my favourite. Coffee is magic! I go for dark roast and prefer Indonesian coffee. I enjoy being outdoors in nature going for long walks, cycling, rowing, hiking and camping. There is nothing better than being surrounded by the 5 elements. I love being in great company building good relationships. Painting my nails is my self-therapy. Laughing hard is under-rated! I have had grey hair since I was 13.

Professional background…

I have extensive experience in HR and leadership development in industrial manufacturing, logistics, private healthcare and professional services sectors. Prior to starting my business in 2022, I worked in senior roles in Human Resources developing leadership teams, mitigating risk and creating efficiencies for 20 years. My experience extends across Ireland, Mainland Europe, Canada and USA managing multiple sites globally.
