About Executive Coaching:
Executive Coaching is a process of achieving client goals in an action oriented forward thinking approach using customised tools and assessment.
Who I typically coach: C-suite executives, directors and managers through the use of professional coaching models, tools and assessments (emotional intelligence/ ECR 360, VIA, values, Conflict style etc.).
Areas of coaching: handling change in the organisation, confidence, communication skills, conflict management, emotional intelligence, leadership development, triggers, switching perspectives, career development, stress management, burnout, work-life balance, performance, productivity, dealing with difficult personalities, and work relationships with seniors, peers and subordinates.
General Methodology of coaching:
Each client is different but here is the general methodology for one to one coaching.
1) Consultation: prior to starting the coaching sessions, a 20 minute consultation is held with the clients to gauge their needs, goals and desires. Once an agreement is reached to start the coaching sessions, the next steps are outlined to the clients. A welcome email is sent out accordingly to include the number of sessions, the duration of each session, date and time agreed to meet for the first coaching session or for all the coaching sessions.
2) Coaching sessions: at the beginning of the first session, the clients are put under ease by allowing them to speak honestly, freely and in confidence. Clients are requested to do their part during each session and in between session to get the maximum benefit and see the tangible results. The clients are guaranteed that the conversations will not be shared with anyone. If the employer is paying for the coaching, the employer is only notified of the dates/ times and number of sessions conducted.
During each session, a combination of coaching models, coaching tools, assessments, reflection exercises and surveys are used tailored to clients goals. These could be ECR self, ECR 360, VIA strength finder, conflict style assessment, values, self-surveys). At the end of each session, action items are agreed to put into practice in between the sessions. These are reviewed at the beginning of the next session accordingly. Reflection and feedback are sought after each session. At the end of the coaching sessions, the whole experience is reviewed to gauge progress and next steps if needed.
